Where to FIND Well Known Objects in the Night Sky #shorts

When I first started in this hobby of astrophotography, I was surprised to find out that the Horsehead and Orion Nebula nebula were both in a very recognizable part of the sky, the Orion Constellation.

Here are some pictures I captured of them with my home telescope equipment. The telescope featured at the end is my Explore Scientific 127mm refractor.

Orion nebula is even visible to naked eye in a light polluted city, I can see it everyday

It's good that people in the old days named those constellations first. Otherwise, modern people would give another name such as Phone star, refrigerator star, washing machine star, motorcycle glue, etc.

Fact: in the Heracles 12 labours story when he did them he asked to be finally free and the gods promised him he could be hung among the stars, and that is now called the Orion constellation instead
