You hit the nail on the head about pricing. As been mentioned thousands and thousands of times, HD riders are aging out. There'll always be a market for big touring bikes but competitive entry level with the right price tag will help a lot.

About price. In 1974 i purchased my first Harley for $ 4200. My dad thought I was nuts. If you really want it youll find a way. I did. Are they over priced? YES ! They will always be over priced. Here's the thing, dont buy a new bike. Ive had 4 Harleys only 1 was brand spanking new. (1974) And got a good deal on them all. My 2021 sport glide runs and rides great, enjoy the bike every day. Believe this, HDMC will f’k it up. Forget the new bikes with new fees, new subscription fees . If there’s a model you like pre 2024, buy it ! I bought a 2019 Road King with only 17 miles on it . I don’t want or trust all the technology

It is so funny, I asked a lot of questions and did some research and what what i found out is shocking. I learned that “if” Harley makes a sport bike or a trail bike, or a dirt bike, it does not change the way my road king or my road glide run. If HArley Davidson is WOKE enough to make a dirt bike thee is no change to the bikes i already have and love? What the hell man. From the tone of your video and other I am seeing you would think that HArley DAvidson expanding their market to reach new customers and maybe make a bike that is different than the same old bikes they normally make will CHANGE my bike that is already own.

The reality is this when the X 750 came out there was an awful lot of interest I for one asked if I could put a deposit down on it but all I got off 5 Harley-Davidson dealerships is the same answers that they are never bringing it out here and I asked why the prices had not come down on all the other models being that there is no tariff wars anymore between us and the USA it was always the same answer and that answer was we want to keep are clientele exclusive
Which to me is absolutely ridiculous and this is the main reason why they are in trouble in this country to start with

Maybe the once-great "Motor Company" should pause all production for a year and continue to pay the US Union employees to furlough. Give the stealerships a chance to empty the showrooms of '24s and '23s and the chance for the lenders to unload the tens of thousands of repossessed units that were overpriced to begin with.

Harley Davidson gave American riders like me a standard. I have never been able to buy a Harley but Ive dreamt of it since I was three when my father gave me a ride on his Electraglide police bike. If HD does what this video suggests HD as we know it is finished, succombing to the modern day dilution of everything good towards mediocre but still too expensive. HD is already on its way to doung this. What we are experiencing is American dreamers like me revolting. We need ONE THING that we can still be proud of as Made in America. It looks like we're going to have to accept defeat and being older, its one more reason I won't be all sad when this life is done.
A little HD history, Every time HD tried to co-produce smaller models for the sake of sales they have NEVER sold well. In fact some of HD's worst bikes were made this way. HD used to make scooters with Italy, snowmobiles with AMF, smaller cc bikes again, with Italy. It never works.
HD does need to make a smaller bike. I love HD but I don't like baggers. That puts at in direct conflict with HD's current motorcycle philosophy. IMHO they need another 1200cc bike like the older WLA or knucklehead. It looks like a Harley, sounds like a Harley and rides like a Harley. Let China crank out average junk.
