They cut the best part 😭 "that table of food gave Minny the strength she needed. She took her babies from under Leroy, and never went back"

“Just like you taught me” is so respectful. They didn’t just seat her at the table she is their honored guest, their benefactor and teacher. I know it’s just a movie, but I feel like most movies resemble real people. Those people were raised right, their honor, their kindness and their humble gratitude is a deeply moving example of real gentility.

Johnny was such a gentleman and ahead of time, he knew how to treat Minnie with so much respect

Johnny turned out to be such a good guy but damn I never noticed how fine he was until his inner kindness came out.

I love how they became friends in real life and Jessica stood up for Octavia and helped her earn 5x her asking salary.

I love how Celia treated Minnie like a friend from the beginning. Then when Johnny found out, he wasn't mad, he was greatful and accepted her as Celia did. ❤
Also the actor playing Johnny was bad ass on Bates Motel.

I just always love how he pulls the chair out for her.

Just the fact that he married someone that wasn't in "the Cir le" showed that he was very down to earth.

Seeing the friendship between Celia and Minnie blossom, and then finding out Johnny is as good as Celia is what makes this movie so memorable for me. Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain kill it. Their acting is superb. Moreover, the two are in real life very good friends. In fact, Octavia has said publicly that Jessica embodies the spirit of Celia because when she found out how much Octavia was earning per movie because black actresses just don't get paid the same, Jessica helped Octavia negotiate her salary by attaching her own salary to Octavia. These two are the best of Hollywood.

“If you want it” that was so important! They gave her the option, they let her know she was a person and not somehow their property!

“That’s a mile high merengue miss Celia!” One of my favourite movie lines ever Celia’s giddy giggle is so sweet! She was so proud of herself!

I legitimately teared up at this part. Ive always had fantastic relationships with my white friends. Ive met parents, been given gifts and invited to vacations parties and dinners. I was never judged or ridiculed. I was always welcomed and embraced. I love good hearted people period. If you're good to me, im good to you.

In a movie filled with separation, this part was so refreshing.

All that hatred and now we have acceptance and Love.

I hope Celia and Johnny got the chance to adopt a child or two at some point. People that nice who genuinely want kids deserve to have them.
