A KTM 390 Adventure - High Fender Install

Hi Matt, I fitted mine yesterday, we have a lot of mud in the UK, my kit was missing the spacers but I made my own, so I would recommend anyone else buying a kit to check everything is in the kit when it arrives, I also used locktite on the bolts. It is a well made kit and I really like the way it looks.

Hey Matt welcome to mud country. Installed this same fender about 3 months ago Did lock tight everything. Also cut sides of fender in a radius that matches rims still plenty firm at any speed. Save template for any other fender style install. Ride on.

One thing I found I wanted to do... while the kit comes with a great template for drilling the holes for the bolts, if you make a minor mistake it may irk you that the fender is not perfectly centered with the tire.

You can simply drill the holes slightly larger to give you more flexibilit in lining the tire and the fender up. Once the bolts are tightened down (with locktite, as Matt suggests), the fender has never moved in the 3500+ miles since I made the adjustment. - Frank

Thanks Matt! Been waiting to do this on my 390 for months… unfortunately cutting the original fork guards doesn’t seem a smart decision here (Spain) as the high fender might get me into trouble in the next vehicle inspection… So I’m on the look for alternatives

I'm using 120/70 on the front tire, and with the high fender when I jump or similar, the tire touches the fender 🙄, anyone else with this problem?
