UKRAINE, not the US, Is the Land of the Free & Home of the Brave

The United States has had a proud history. Yet in the last several decades, it has been sliding from the ideals of the Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson especially, that birthed the US: equality and liberty, and the sort of solidarity that results from a people who all embrace equality and liberty. Current president Don "the Dealer" Trump seems never to mention the grounding ideals of the American nation. He is, instead, all about "the deal." Yet Ukrainians, since 1991, have slowly learned the Jeffersonian lesson that liberty must sometimes be gained by the "blood of tyrants." The Orange Revolution (2004) and Euromaidan (2014) were defining moments. Having tasted the pure air of freedom, the proud Ukrainian men and women at the front lines refuse to let a bloodthirsty tyrant, Putin, take from them what is theirs. Led by valiant president Volodymyr Zelensky, they also refuse to allow another tyrant, US tyrant Don Trump, dictate their future course. Ukrainians, though wearied by war, unshakably believe that they belong to a country, destined for greatness. Ukrainians today are the greatest ambassadors in the world for liberty--the true heirs of the large liberal principles of Thomas Jefferson, enumerated in this video by Dr. Holowchak. ENJOY!

Sorry, it is a bit out of sync.... Also Greek, homologia, should be oikeiosis (meaning having and keeping to one's own).
