Kevin Garnett wasn't a consistent 3-point shooter, but his long 2-point jumpers helped bring big men into the pace-and-space era. In this episode of Signature Shots, ESPN analyst Kirk Goldsberry traces The Big Ticket's evolution from a low-post dominating MVP with the Minnesota Timberwolves to a title-winning master of pick-and-pop jumpers with the Boston Celtics.

Great story about KG - My college Bball coach told me a story about playing against KG when he was in highschool. He was a PG and said he drove the lane and threw up a floater. KG snagged it outta mid air, dribbled to the other end, dunked on 3 dudes, ran over to the scorers table, pointed to my coach, and said “give that boy an assist” 😂

Even when guarded, KG's jumper was impossible to stop due to his length and the fact that he brought the ball way up above his head. I believe he had a 7'5" wingspan.

Kevin Garnett has one of the most underrated fadeaways in NBA history. After MJ came Kobe and Dirk but anyone who watched KG during his Timberwolves days knows that he was money w/ the fadeaway.

Kevin Garnett was BY FAR my favorite player growing up. That Rapture-level passion, that fork-bending intensity, that diamond-slicing sense of humor? The horrendous green jersey draped across his 7-foot frame could not deter me from following this brilliant, magnificent, magnetic giant.

Also, the brother would have gotten T'd up every night if he played today.

Still my Fav player! His mid-range turn around jump shots were legendary. Saw him hit a game winner with one against the Blazers in '06. Miss those days with KG

Crazy how the worst part of his game is his scoring and yet he’s still so good at that.

His TWolves jersey was the first ever jersey that I bought. I love his effort and intensity on both ends whenever he played.

My favourite player of the 00's and the best PF for me to ever play the game. His 2003-04 season was awesome and i routed fro the Boston Celtics only for him, when he was there.
