Biggest improvement was the change to the white drum heads! Not as 'hard' of a sound as in the past and definitely contributes to a more enjoyable listen from an overall band perspective. Interesting to see if this is a permanent move away from Evans for Creighton...

I'm no expert but I felt the drum corp were always rushing the piping which maybe contributed to their overall result? I thought the pipe corp were always trying to sit on the beat and have a swing particularly breaking in to the reel but the drummers were pushing so much. Again, I am not the judge here and maybe they have different thoughts to ear of the expert but I certainly felt it

Quite a poor piping performance for their standards. Hope this improves at the world's and they get back up there again. Preferred the nice snare response from the Evans drum heads to be honest. But better volume of these.
