On Armistice Day 2021, the RNZN Band was due to host its annual Remember concert. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing effort to manage COVID19 within Auckland, their concert was cancelled and their musicians have been helping to staff the Border North of Auckland.

This video brings you Colonel Bogey from last year's Remember concert followed by the Naval Hymn, The Last Post, two minutes silence, the Ode read in Te Reo by Warrant Officer Te Kani Te Wiata and in English by Rear Admiral (Retired) Jack Steer (this reading was recorded at the Remember Concert in 2019), the Reveille will then be sounded drawing the commemoration to a close.

Wherever you are, we hope you are able to take a moment to remember all those who lost their lives in the service of their country and all those who returned home but carry the mental and physical scars of war.

Ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou.
We will remember them.

act of remembrance yet still lets people with ss patches roam freely on our streets... nz logic. but apart from that respect to those who risk their lives for us to live freely.
