Law suits should come out of police budgets. As long as it's paid out of a general liability account the police will not behave correctly and safely

So what is the use of body-cams then ?

Laws that our own officers don't enforce. Sorry but you don't get to choose what you enforce and what you don't. Ontario is starting to sound like the Simpsons at this point...

With expanded powers given to police, all police cam footage must be immediately available to the public .... TO PREVENT ABUSE OF POWER AND POLICE BRUTALITY TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY MUST BE FORCED because police will hide and erase and delay disclosure of police wrongdoing .... THE PUBLIC DO NOT TRUST POLICE TO DO THE RIGHT THING ...ACCOUNTABILITY IS A MUST, TRANSPARENCY IS A MUST ... AND FURING BAD COPS WITHOUT PAY IS A MUST.

Public employees... their actions are public business. For certain a member of the public was in the video, Police interaction with the public is ... obviously... public.
