Doesn't sound like a good deal for Israel but it was my thought that anything short of truly rooting Hezbollah out of southern Lebanon would be a bad deal that is forced upon them

There is no way to avoiding war, it can only be postponed to the advantage of your enemy.
A ceasefire is a chance for an army facing defeat to regroup, rearm and recover, knowing it can't win but able to continue with the killing. Hamas and Hezbollah both knew they couldn't win this war, it was just a killing spree for the terrorists funded by Qatar and Iran who also fund campuses across the world.

Before October 7, Israel allowed I will repeat myself. Israel allowed Palestinians to have work permits in their own country. The Israel’s allowed them work permits in their own country.
