Of course your going to lose money on buying a new car. They are depreciating assets. Cars, boats, rvs. They are not investments that increase in value. Why does everyone think cars are investments. In the history of cars you lose money as every year goes by. Get COVID out of your head. It’s over. Houses are assets. Stocks, gold, not Cars

Do people really pay that much for car insurance??? I’m mad that I have to pay nearly 700$ very 6 months for my wife’s and my insurance. I have a 2017 Acadia Denali and she has a 2019 Tucson. When I bought it back in 2017 I was paying around 300$ every 6 months. Then in 2019 when we got her it was about the same. So a little over 600$ every 6 months. Time passes and it increases slowly but surely. By 2023 it was around 930$ for both. So I switched to State Farm. It dropped to 800$ and then they went up after the 1st year. Switched to geico and that’s who I’m with now. Changed in February. Neither one of us have ever had any accidents. She’s never had a ticket. I got a ticket in 2022, but before that, haven’t had a ticket since 2012. It’s very annoying to pay more in insurance now than when they were brand new.
