Bob: Actually, I was just finishing some work. I DIDN'T GO TO BED YET.
Sam: DID YOU HEAR James got fired two days ago?
Bob: No. I DIDN'T HEAR THAT. Are you sure?
Sam: Yeah, Mary told me this afternoon. She was pretty upset about it.
Bob: That’s too bad. James is a nice guy.
Sam: Yeah, I know.
Bob: Why did they fire him?
Sam: She didn’t say.
Bob: I see.
Well, if you talk to Mary again, tell her there’s a job opening at my company.
James can have an interview next Monday if he wants.
