The 69-year-old man in the other vehicle involved in the accident died on Sunday, but there is no mention of this in the media.

Fantastic content. Very concise and digestible for any fan; reporting done right.

The important thing is that all involved are, we’re told, ok. Speedy recovery to all involved.

Unfortunately the other driver died.😢 "The driver was at home on Saturday (29 June), four days after the accident, and became unwell. Whether his death was related to the accident is currently being investigated. The body has been secured for examination, " the police officer points out.

If anyone else is curious (like I was) I looked up what the speed limit for crews doing recce was.
"The maximum speed allowed during Reconnaissance is 80kmh on special stages unless a lower speed limit is indicated by road signs or by written instructions in the roadbook"
At all other times "Competitors must fully respect the Polish Traffic Law regulations including use seatbelts and speed limits"
Which are 50kmh in build up areas, and 90kmph outside of build up areas.

Glad nobody was hurt, everything else is secondary.
Good luck to Kalle and Jonne!
I also wish Elfyn and Taka a good rally as well.

Unfortunate but luckily no big injuries. Get well Seb and wish Kalle can deliver

Sometimes i wonder if recce is possibly the most dangerous part of any rally. We have certainly seen some very bad incidents over the years!

Glad everyone's ok.
BTW - Why won't Poland compete in Water Polo at the Olympics this year?

Ogier seems to have a lot of off competition incidents.

I do question why the roads aren't closed for the recce. It's happened once there's no reason why it can't happen again

I love that my country - Poland - - already known for doubtful safety during the races - has some sort of safety issue even *before* the event.

It seems like it was *Not* the organizers fault - though - so here's hoping that Poland will stay on the calendar

Don't they drive on the right in Poland, so how come they collided front right corner to front right corner. There's plenty of side run off for two cars to pass each other
