Jamaican dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel remains behind bars and, in a FOX 5 NY exclusive, new concerns are being raised over his wellbeing. Lisa Evers spoke to his attorney and his family about his health and his continuing fight for freedom since being jailed in 2011.

I can truly empathize with him. I was literally in the same condition and situation. Locked up with thyroid disease. Graves disease is when your thyroid gland is over active and out of control. It can cause what is called a Thyroid Storm: Resulting in, cardiovascular shutdown and or death. I had to be rushed from jail to a hospital, they thought I was lying when I told them I was having a heart attack. I went thru Radioactive Iodine Treatment. An oral treatment via radiation to burn it out. Or there's is surgical procedure via of cutting it from your neck. God protect him!

It kills me how people don't worry about their "health conditions" until they get in trouble then it's ALWAYS a emergency problem for them to be in prison!! Should of worried about his health instead of taking someone else's life away!! SMFH
