hey gang, I hope you all enjoyed today's video! Lemme know which journals you're using this year down below, I'd LOVE to hear and then we can all inspire each other! ALSO my apologies for the weird audio segment, that's my bad, but the audio for that segment was pretty much saying how i'm excited to fill in this journal and I'll be sharing a full video dedicated to the journal's setup!

It's cold outside, I am comfy in my warm bed watching this before work 😌. The opening music was just 🤌🏽. Today will be a good day.

For me this year, I am using:
1. daily to-do bujo (for productivity and school, format inspired by you; nearly identical!)
2. mindfulness bujo (trackers, intentions, affirmations, tarot pull, reflections, habits, thoughts, quotes, vision board)
3. google drive word doc for lengthy journaling
4. big empty sketchbook for drawings, designs, ideas, sketches, project planning

That intro with the music.. was just so pleasingly satisfying to my love of journaling. Thank you for making my day more enjoyable. God bless you.

I use an a6 filofax for my bullet journal, I have an a5 filofax clipbook for my spiritual journal. I also have an old a6 filofax set up as a 3 year daily journal.

hi kaitlin! your silm notes tho!!! *.* if i had to pick a fave book it would be silm <3 it's kind of funny because when i was reading that i also had to bust out my journal and take copious amount of notes to keep everything and everyone straight in my head lol....you've also reminded me that i need to reread that stat...i think i will be trying out a B6 stalogy for my reading journal this year just to record my fave quotes and moments from each book! thanks for your videos ~ i love your journal aesthetics! <3

for 2022, i have a bullet journal and a reading journal! in my reading journal i include a lot of collage and my feelings about the books i read. i mostly read fantasy or slight sci-fi books and can get attached to the characters… so i like to college and pour my attachment into the journal so i can move on and read another book.

I adore how you treat your journals and how you organize them. I feel like mine are so precious. This year I have 4 notebooks. A midori md paper A5 dot grid for bullet journal (planner, daily journal, habit trackers, budget and other collections) usually 1 lasts 6 months (I didn´t switch to the dot grid codex because I carry it with me everywhere and the codex is a bit too much for that), a leuchtrum a5 dot grid for work, a midori md paper b6 slim grid for self care where I write about my yoga and training journey, and a travelers notebook passport (blue) for travel plans. Those last 2 are new to me, so I´m very anxious to fill them to see what worked and what did not!

Hi. I have only started to show interest in creating journal's for what I will be reading in 2022, then another notebook for my word count on each day by 2k.

Only to see if I can manage to get out 2k per day, even though each block only has the number '100', then it is a good start.

Just keeping them as is, nothing fancy like you do with stickers or washi tapes. Sorry if I spell the washi wrong, got a bad headache and feeling tired.

Thanks again for another interesting vlog.

Loved hearing about your journals! OMG, I got an A6 Stalogy to offload my thought throughout the day into. I'm still loving my Bujo Edition 2 and using that for my bullet journal (I've stocked up so I will be in this notebook all year long), but I was missing Stalogy paper and I have been liking doing stream of consciousness journaling in another notebook. I guess I'm calling it stream of consciousness journaling instead of morning pages because I do it all day long. I also see it as a place to offload things that are cluttering up my brain but I don't like the name "offloading" journal.

Anyways, I got the full year A6 Stalogy, like you, and I use it with no over and fold it back so that it is more even/level for writing. I hope that makes sense. I'm not sure if I will keep it or recycle it but I do just pull things from it to note in my daily log of my bujo. For example, if I go on and on about my fears about working on a certain project that is hard in my A6, then in my bujo, I will just make a note saying "-struggled to work on project".

Next, I'm using a Hobonichi Weeks as a memory keeper. What I mean by memory keeping is really using photos from my Cannon Ivy and then some short notes about the experiences. I am writing on the part that has the weekly horizontal spaces and on the right side, the memo page, I'm putting the photos. I know I won't have things for every day and I'm okay with blank spaces or if I need more room from an experience/event then I can spill onto the next day. My goal is to reflect upon my week and complete it then. I keep notes in my bujo so I will be drawing on that to complete these weekly spreads. I considered doing this in my TN using the horizontal weekly memo insert but I wanted to go even thinner than using my TN.

My last journal, is my TN. I am using it to journal to my kids. I have 3 adult children and I have one insert dedicated to each one. I am just writing in it when I have something to say. This might sound morbid but I'm wanting to leave them with my thoughts about them to back at when I pass.

Well, thanks for reading my LONG comment! That's what happened when I'm typing on my computer. Comments are much shorter when using my phone. LOL!!!!

Hey I like your video. I´m new to journaling and it is very interesting for me to see the different setups. I started last year with my asthma journal. I use it daily to write down my health status. It´s only a cheap notebook from the discounter. Then I bought a Traveler´s Notebook for different spreads like coming events this year, movies, tv-series, weight, quotes etc., sketchbook and daily journal. These are my two journals for now. Maybe there are coming more. 😃

Wow 5 journals for 1 year! I’m using 2. I use Stalogy A5 for my bullet journaling for productivity and mindfulness and Clairefontaine A4 Agecloth for daily free flow expressive writing. The Stalogy A6 looks really cute!

That A6 Stalogy notebook is so cute!

For now I'm only using my TN in standard size with one blank insert where I write my daily thoughts and track my mood using a set of clear stamps that I designed and had manufactured here in the US. I also have a passport sized TN that I carry in my purse and my olive green standard sized TN where I keep ideas for stories and characters. But I forget to use them! Out of sight, out of mind. T^T Maybe it's time to actually reorganize my setup to be more ADHD friendly.

First, will you please tell me which pens you have on ur desk. As a fountain pen freak & paper addict I see some I don’t currently own. Lol. I’m currently using several types of Midori notebooks both plain & light grid. I almost bought the stalogy, but it’s in my cart for February. Lol. I found I could use a we r memory keepers alphabet punch to punch through the card stock front & back covers & I like the look bc you can still see it through the plastic cover. So I punched my first name in the top right hand corner. Now I need to buy the number set so I can punch 2022 down the side or the bottom right. I would still be able to punch “journal” or “diary”or anything else down the side if I chose. I have a collection of fountain pens & FP inks so any journals I choose need to be able to handle my pens & ink. I lucked into a $10 (on sale) Lemore journal on Amazon a 2022 rose gold (they have a lovely emerald green & black too rn with 2022 embossed on the cover) journal that is working pretty well too. I enjoyed the video. I’m also a huge fan of tea. If you haven’t tried Harney & Sons yet please do. I have well over 150 tins of their tea now. I buy loose leaf & tea bags & now I can use it to age the journal pages of my junk journals. Lol. No more waste. Thanks for sharing ur knowledge & ur love of beautiful things with us.

I love it!!!
I’m using an A6 Hobonichi for my preplanning and daily journal, a B6 archer and olive for commonplace that I started this year and am already 30 pages in (eeeep!), a standard TN for ‘truths’ or quotes, and an A5 5-year Hobonichi that I’m in year 2 of. I have my reading journal-ish spreads in my commonplace book right now, but am toying with the idea of making it it’s own journal…

I’m about to start reading The Silmarillion and would love some tips on how to take notes from it.
The first time I tried to read this book, I quickly realized I needed to take notes on the characters if I wanted to not get lost in the reading but by that time I was already so confused that I decided to start the book all over and take notes from the beginning. I got so intimidated by the thought of taking notes on a fiction book for the first time that I put it off for years!!! I thought “I need a very special notebook for this” and “I’d love to include illustrations, so I need some colored inks” and “Should I split the notebook into sections? (Characters, maps, plot, etc). I went into a rabbit hole of ideas that made me postpone the whole ordeal for years 😩
Do you have any suggestions for me?

The TN would be basically a Commonplace notebook, of sorts?
