Best Standard Decks - Meta Review | August 2024 - Bloomburrow - Week 3 | MTG Arena

We are into the 3rd week of Bloomburrow. Mono-Red, Rakdos Aggro, and Selesnya Rabbits remain in the top 3 in bo1. In bo3 we see two "new" archetypes. The return of Dimir Midrange with three top 3 finishes, a Mono-White Token Control deck with two top 3 finishes, and some interesting changes to Gruul Aggro incorporating Innkeeper's Talent.

this standard meta is WILD. the fact that rotation just happened and the power level, and in a lot of cases the speed, of so many decks is as high as it is really makes you feel the power creep. i have been having decreasing success with midrange in bo1 and have opted to play rakdos to pump out quick wins, but i find it gets boring so fast. for the first time since starting Arena i am considering swapping to bo3 because my preferred decks are favored much more there, i just hate how time consuming it is.

Thanks, these are very helpful. I was just thinking that the meta seems to have turned against my Gruul Aggro deck, and Sheoldred is a nightmare to play against. Those handy removal spells in this new version should do the trick.

this mono red agro is off the charts insane with the new cards, this may dominate the meta very quickly as it just deals far too much damage too quickly for most decks to deal with. And it's DIRT CHEAP to build both in paper and in Arena.

Instant craft on the Dimir Midrange deck! Needed something to transition to post-Raffine.
The other midrange decks lacking blue interaction just didn't feel right ;)

I'm new to MTG Arena and your presentations are very useful when I try to decide on which deck to craft with my not-so-impressive amount of resources:) I have one question - why Rakdos Token Control is invisible in meta reports? Many content creators are speaking highly on that archetype (like this deck can deal with all other top meta brews) yet I don't see it on any analytical webpage. Is it worth crafting in your opinion or I should stick to Rabbits/mono Black (if I hate playing agro;))?
