Damn, No Man's Sky went from "man this game kinda was underwhelming" to "IT'S STILL GETTING UPDATES??"

It was a joke and yet $1000 wouldn't even get you all of the Sims 4 DLC.

No man's sky is the best redemption ark

Okay, totally unrelated, but the increase in film grain in the background is starting to drive me wild lmao. I even went back to a video from 10 months ago to confirm it didn't use to be there at all!

Hold up, it's actually getting steadily worse. Going back through the months you can see it increasing. 6 months ago it didn't seem to be there at all. 5 months ago you can barely see it. 4 months it's starting to get more noticable...all the way to now where it's like absurdly noticable. Am I trippin? Is this a conspiracy?? What does the film grain mean Mason?!

Something tells me the psn account restrictions that effect 1/5 the Earth's population isn't why there was only 50 people playing Concord

It's really that good - recommend VR mode of No Mans Sky to everyone. Simply beautiful. If only they can get away from the menu gameplay eventually.

No Man's Sky has become one of my favorite games ever. It really is a magical experience

The fact that no man's sky is still supported, shows how they love their game.

Hello Games knocked it out of the park with this update. They are an example of how to treat your community right.

No Man Sky's like Minecraft in that you binge it for a few random weeks (with friends too sometimes) every year or after big updates. Just a fun amazing game to always go back to

Definitely isn't the PSN restrictions that are making people not want to play Concord. I'd wager a big part of it is that they released a really good trailer for what could've been a very interesting story-based game and instead of making a game to match the trailer, they're releasing a painfully generic hero shooter in a market already saturated by that type of game.

That trailer was some serious whiplash of "ooh this looks interesting" to you've lost my interest".

In another universe, Todd Howard chose to partner with the No Man's Sky Dude, and they both created a world 16 times bigger and better than Skyrim. Pushing the developers of Star Citizen refunded all the money and closed the studio.

Funny i just rewatched internet historians “the engoodening of no mans sky” for some background noise. Glad to see the games still getting updates. Might finally buy it

i'm not upset with microtransactions, i'm upset with the blatant practice of locking core game features/progress behind them or stuffing a mediocre game with MTXs that cost about the same price as the entire game. this goes hand in hand with the proliferation of live service games that dont need to be live service because those need to be offset with MTXs. make a good core experience and people will throw money at you. make a meh experience with bright flashing dollar signs begging the player to buy something and you begin the hunt for the whale which isn't sustainable

Techland just wants to cut their numbers. It's likely fairly hard to fire people under Polish law, so overseas devs not following their insane RTO policy either gives Techland a good reason to let them go, or pushes those employees to quit themselves, which saves Techland from having to give out severance pay. Of course those kinds of workers often tend to be some of the best in the company, so it's honestly really stupid to burn those bridges, but hey, as long as number goes up this quarter.

Clearly management also wants to be able to micromanage their workers in the office too, but that's likely a secondary goal.

Concord, so good it retained 50ish people on the last day of beta. 😅

NMS has given its players 8 years of free updates and major improvements, but Cyberpunk still won the Labor of Love steam award for making the game playable months after release.

Dang. Sean really took that criticism to heart.

Will you guys do a take on Crime Boss Rockay City and how that has also improved in a year? They're doing a No Mans Sky on it basically
