I had to do a report in college on Kabuki Theater, which was Japanese Theater where men played women. Eventually, the men became really bossy and tried to start saying they could play the ideal woman and no female could ever do it better than them. Some women even had to start binding their breasts to pretend to be men… playing women. It eventually got kicked out as the most popular form of theater when Ibsen brought Realism to the stage and audiences preferred it. History really does repeat itself

You know, because Drag Queen Story Hours are run with so little accountability or basic regard for children's safety that it has been revealed that at least three of the drag queens who participated in them were convicted child sex offenders, and at least one of the libraries that one of those sickos was at normally had a policy of requiring a full criminal background check from anyone who sought to have a program in the library that directly involved interacting with children, yet they deliberately waived that requirement for the drag queens out of fear of being accused of bigotry if they didn't.
