I'm looking for a sign that I can't see
The good the bad and somewhere in between
The warning signs, the urban grinds me down
The kids are building fires by their homes
The smoke is sending signals out in code
Got these safety suits, and this parachute but I don't know
Gotta Stop, Drop, Roll

When all these walls come down they'll shake us
We fight not to be weightless
All these stars hit ground they'll wake us
We fight not to be weightless

Im choking on the words that I can't say
My lungs are full but letters are misplaced
Junkyard dogs and cherry bombs set off
The sun the sky the moon will fall apart
Come tumbling down just like a house of cards
The fire escapes, lush landscapes they fade

I can feel this heavy weight hanging around my neck
I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back again

I met George Chuvalo. He's the person in the video fighting Ali, and his voice is featured on the Curve album. Chuvalo sadly lost one of his sons to substance abuse and was doing motivational type speeches about substance abuse which is where I met him. He's a super down to earth guy with a firm handshake and a soft heart. Ali is quoted as saying George Chuvalo is the toughest person he ever fought. Chuvalo gave him some brutal body shots and went toe to toe with Ali for all 15 rounds and Ali couldn't knock him down. Chuvalo was actually never knocked down in all 93 of his professional fights! He also fought George Foreman and Joe Frazier and they couldn't knock him down either! Props to OLP for bringing well deserved light to this Canadian legend!

This song is so great. It easily could have been on Spiritual Machines.

God when I gear the main chorus start I just get so happy and picture a ton of soldiers defending a fortress.

We were lucky enough to play in the same building as OLP when they were in Detroit last, this song kicks ass!

Raine is still one of the most honest and genuine artists in North America. I'm 23, and i've never heard a bad OLP song. People need to support the new album, but i also encourage newer fans to check out older OLP albums. Clumsy and Happiness... remain impressive and relevant.
IF OLP SPEAKS TO YOU, LIKE THIS.

Everyone come to Niagara Falls, Ontario for New Year's Eve!

It's when my dry, jaded eyes finally feel moist. When my weathered skin feels the that anxious tingle. When that old familiar lump finds its way into my throat and I feel like breaking down right then and there. That's when I know what I have just experienced has really touched me.

Vocalists mature over time. At the time of clumsy, Raine was only 27 and still exploring music in a hugely creative way, probably testing his range and being experimental in finding "his sound". He's now 42, married, a father of 3, and seemingly found what he feels is the range and style that suits his mindset in music. The band as a whole has had to explore themselves on a musical journey too. Regardless of where they've been, I'm really excited about where the band is now. Rock on, boys.

This is the best song they've put out in years

I feel like we're getting closer, but we're not quite at the old OLP feel that I fell in love with.

Another OLP hit. The chorus reminds me of their Innocent or Walking in Circles days.

I think this song is one of those ones that you need to listen too a few times before it starts sounding good

All along, it hasn't been the exact OLP sound I wanted back, (though the creepy falsetto REALLY helps) it was just the edge in this song. It's like I can feel that they feel it again. That was all I wanted. For them to make something with a bit of a rough and intense edge to it again.

This doesn't sound a ton like Our Lady Peace of old, but at the same time, it sounds EXACTLY like Our Lady Peace did and should sound. It's not Happiness or Clumsy, but it's them again.

Maybe I'm over-simplifying things a bit, but I am not quite sure why OLP didn't realize that it was songs like this that made them so great(that, and "Innocent", another post-Spiritual Machines gem). But as Dylan said recently, you can't just recreate the magic. It's like lightning in a bottle.

There is one thing I particularly love about this song. It has to be the transition from Steve's playing in the bridge to his solo. Its just so extraordinary, turn up your speakers, once the bridge kicks in, put all your focus on Steve. The soothing, harmonic sound of his work echoing in the background. It builds and and becomes this roaring, deafening, epic solo. It is truly lovely and impresses me every time.

one of my favorite songs from my teen years. wish more songs were targeted to the animosity and ambiguity to our inspirations

OLP will always remain completely unrivaled. I'm so glad i found this band when i was only in the 6th grade.

I think that's been a staple of all OLP tunes.

The title of the song is is very appropriate and fitting. Because as of right now, according to my ITunes, I've listened to this song over 400 times in less than two short months. Not including the times I've listened to it on here or the radio.
