Is this a leap year? When do we get a February 29th?
So, as you know, we have 365 days in a year. But did you know that the time it takes for the Earth to go around the sun is actually a little bit longer than that? It's about 365 and a quarter days!

That extra quarter day might not seem like a lot, but over time, it adds up. After four years, those quarter days add up to one extra day. That's why we have Leap Year!

A leap year is a year that has one extra day in it. It happens every four years, and that extra day is added to the month of February. So instead of having 28 days, February has 29 days in a leap year.
