Dropper seatposts can make riding technical sections much easier and more fun. If you've got one, you're unlikely to ever look back! This is how to get the most out of a dropper seatpost.

The ability to move your seat out of the way in a moment inspires confidence and speed. Getting the remote lever setup is critical in order for the action to become intuitive to use very quickly.

I remember buying my first bike as an adult and seeing this video, it was a hard tail basic xc bike and I said well some day I am going to ride something like the men of the video is riding. It’s been 5 years and today it was my last ride on my hard tail, it has been a beautiful journey that I am never going to forget. Hello dropper post and front and rear suspension, we are going to enjoy this one.

I didn't know these existed till now, but this is exactly what I've been needing.

Like a dishwasher, nobody needs a dropper post, however, once you have one you can't imagine life without one.

Best upgrade ever. I was undecided due to my weight, but so far my Giant Switch SL 150x440 mm is a real treat. Even if it doesn't survive the summer, the fun I'm having so far is well worth it

Thank you for explaining exactly how it worked. I've seen other videos and they talk about them but didn't show the function. The information you provided gave me what I needed to understand how to use one and why to use one.

He always gets to ride the best bikes. Gotta love that Scott Genius plus he's riding. On top of that he's rocking the new Crankbrothers dropper post. I love their remote how it's really customizable.

I just bought the Easton Haven Dropper which is awesome but I'm debating whether to upgrade the remote to a shifter style one instead.

I'm tiered of having to stop and change my seat height. I can't wait to get a dropper post

Had my Reverb for 3 years. Out of all the upgrades, this is my favourite. One of the most reliable parts too as I haven't had a single issue with it yet.

fun fact: I read in a dropper post manual, that you are to keep your head at least one foot away from the saddle all times, but it is ok to point it at your genitals.

My new trail bike came with a dropper post, but after riding with it for a couple of months I ended up selling it and going with a normal seatpost, where I ride I just didn't really see the benefit of it, I'm probably quite accustomed to riding with my seat up too, the roughly 600 gram weight savings will offset the weight of some burlier dual ply all mountain tyres.

kinda reminds me of desk chair height adjustment. I wonder if the technology is similar. If it was the same you'd get some shock absorption to kick making it even more worthwhile mod
