Intro To React: Concepts and Ecosystem Part 2

Created by Facebook, React is a new framework developed for “complex UIs”. Often referred to as just “the ‘V’ in MVC”, React takes a unique approach to the view layer. From the “Virtual DOM” to JSX to reusable components, React introduces some new concepts to the front end that many have found beneficial. However, being just the “V in MVC” has its limits, and over the past couple of years the community in general has come up with multiple “M” and “C” solutions. This talk will cover a high level introduction to React, some of the new concepts it brings with it, and point us toward some community solutions that attempt to tie the whole thing together into a usable stack.
