Milwaukee Central Park Project
Mission of the Milwaukee Central Park Project is to remove the elevated highway in downtown Milwaukee. Ramping the Marquette interchange down to the River. Lowering the Hoan Bridge down to Lincoln Memorial. Once the deteriorating highway has lived the rest of it’s life we will remove it and replace it with the Milwaukee Central Park. Connecting downtown and the third ward with green-space, walking paths and bike lanes. A new epicenter of cultural gatherings and a singular identity. On the eastern edge facing Lake Michigan, we will build a gateway building serving as a door to the rest of the world. Doubling as a public meeting space and observation platform. Our city is on the verge of something big, we have so much potential here, let’s show the world what we are made of. Please take time to share your thoughts and opinions on the future of Milwaukee.
