The Three Degrees - I didn't know (Ruud's Extended Edit)

Taken from their first album on Philadelphia International Records (simply called 'The Three Degrees'), the song 'I didn't know. Written by Bunny Sigler and Jean Lang and arranged by Richard Rome. The cut has bouncy, double stopping bass and rich lyrical imagery: "You swooped down on me like a hawk on a dove/clipped my wings and I knew I was in love." "I Didn't Know" went to number 18 R&B in the spring of 1975 while never charting on the pop charts. The relatively lackluster success of "I Didn't Know" had a lot to do with the success of "When Will I See You Again," which no doubt kept it from being added to radio play lists. The Three Degrees performed a short a cappella version of "I Didn't Know" on the NBC-TV sitcom Sanford and Son.

I extended the song a bit since I thought it was far too short. Furthermore I added an extra (modern) beat. I edited the video, to match with the extended song. Hope u all like it. No copyright infringement intended.

The best track from their first Philly album and in Holland the b-side of the When will I see you again single. It deserved better listening to this extended remix, thanks for sharing Ruud ( Master ) Mixer !

Imagine traveling all over the world performing and looking so good every night. The singing, the moves, the looks. Much respect to the ladies still with us and those who have left us.
