I'm kind of stunned that the stadium had power. I think there were one or more tornadoes throughout the city. A tornado cell passed right over where I worked right before the game started, and a lot of us had to hide in the center part of the facility.

Javier was dicing them up with his off speed tonight boys and girls. Changeup and slider working well and we see the results. Eventually hitters around the league were gonna adjust to his invisi-fastball, especially with the velo dropping some since 2022, so dialing in those off speed pitches to pair with his fastball to keep hitters off balance is obviously a recipe for success. Especially if he can get ahead of hitters locating pitches in the zone. We'll see how it works out against better lineups but no doubt it was good to see tonight. 5 games out of 1st place in the division, strap up the head bands and keep chippin away Stros
