Halftime in Ableton like Halftime plugin
1 - Drop a audio file inside a audio clip
2 - Set warp to Beats mode
3 - Transpose down 12 semitones ( down 1 octave)
4 - Set preserve time on 1 Bar
5 - Set transient loop mode on Back/Forward (<---->)

Bonus tip

Stutter/Gate effect
1 - Follow Step 1 & 2 from above and 3 optional if you want to use Halftime and add Stutter/Gate effect
2 - Change Preserve Timing (1/4, 1/8, 1/16 so on)
3 - Set Transient Loop Forward only
4 - Change Transient Envelope to lower value (50 works well) to get Stutter/ Gate effect

Other than the Swell Time/Reverse effect on Halftime, Deja Vu is pretty hard to beat for FREE...
Great deep dive into this plugin and the final production ya whipped up is fire on all cylinders!

They seem pretty comparable to me, with Half Time being a little clearer with the swell effect, but using them both just to slow a beat down, without the swell feature, they sound pretty similar. Cool comparison Dixon, thanks and have a great weekend.

@4:40 sounds like Deja Vu is in doublet while halftime is on time. l love Deja Vu btw. I was about to buy Halftime lol.
