The Word of God, A Double Edged Sword

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

This is 100% when I could hear the holy spirit, Jesus would speak to me everyday. Even when I would read the Bible, it was Jesus guiding me and telling what to read and what not to read. Jesus is THE word of God and his holy spirit is the only way we can ever grow spiritually or follow him. Because it is his living power and spirit that guides and transforms us. I absolutely agree with this, because even when I didn't have a bible (not saying it wasn't something the Lord didn't want me to read) and I wasn't very long into being saved but the holy spirit guided me and I KNEW that was all I needed. Because all you need is Jesus and HIS final authority Amen.
