On Saturday, December 14, 2019, Myself and many other railfans came to Selma, NC to get NCDOT's 2019 Santa train running between Raleigh and Selma, NC. It is unusual to see the Amtrak Piedmonts east of Raleigh.

I started off the day in Clayton on the H line, to get R92 (the NS symbol for the Santa trains) heading westboud. I moved to the east side of Clayton to get R92 heading back east. I then went to Selma to get the R92 deadhead run back to Raleigh. After that, myself and some other railfans went up to Micro for bit, getting Amtrak 90 and CSX Q400. After that, I moved back to Selma to get Q401, Q409, and Amtrak 89.

A few of us went back to the east side of Clayton to get a westbound ethanol train running long hood forward. The ethanol train (65W) was already parked in the siding at Powhatan, so no one would have seen it in Selma. Amtrak 79 went through ahead of 65W. We went to Selma for the rest of this video. Also, for the month of December, CSX was running an extra set of intermodals for the peak holiday season (Q035 and Q034). Q035 came through right behind Q031.
