I built a homebrew AM 80-10 meter plate modulated transmitter it's a 6146 modulated by 2 6L6's

I built something similar in appearance & layout but it ran a 6146 for the power-osc.

a real CWer. Neat little rig. Back when home made was from taking the radio flyer down the street lookin for old radios and TV sets to scrounge parts to make stuff with. Half the fun was tearing into that stuff. Hmmm, tear into, TERRY! hi hi
The idea was NOT TO BUY THE STUFF, GET IT FREE? I have an old EICO up in the attic, bad T/R relay, weighs about six hundred pounds. I made an EOL boat anchor vid last month with a Lafayette CB. The EICO literally weighs more than the real boat anchor. My working tube rig is a Drake TR4, um partial to Drake over Johnson, sorry OT, dah dah dah / dah. Gotta string up a 130' dipole for the old gal for 75m. Some day, I hope that you'll do a Drake? I sent my old TR3 to a ham in Michigan, Dave KC8YOX, that needs repairs. Might make a good subject for him. Don

My late stepfather used to "Ham" it up for the Jacksonville Beach Kingfish Tournament many years ago ... He loved that stuff!

A little oscillator 'pull' during key down. They tend to do that, but it goes great with the theremin (hihi). Nice vid! 73's!
