My wife and I decided to take a vacation, a road trip to Sackville to see this show. I am so glad we did, one of the best concerts we've ever attended, and in hindsight maybe the last opportunity we would get. Been a fan of his music since the early 70s, so sad when he passed away. Who can hear this without thoughts of our parents or grandparents? Keep listening because soon it will be you he’s singing about. For nearly 50 years Joh Prine has warmed my heart with his lyrics. I’ve enjoyed seeing him play live 10 or so times. From front row to back row he’s entertained me through the years. This song is his best for me. Thank you John for the journey. God bless you.

What a great tune. This, and others on John's 1st album, which we first heard on WFMTS MIDNIGHT SPECIAL radio program in Chicago, got us to start playing guitar, and fall in love with Martin guitars and the Singing Mailman.
