How to Install the Beta JB CyanogenMod 10 Rom on the Samsung Epic 4g Touch

This video will show you how to install the beta Jelly Bean CM10 Rom on your Samsung Epic 4g Touch! This is based on Android 4.1.1 JB. Any questions, just ask!

You can if you'd like... but it is recommended that you flash a gingerbread kernel before flashing the rom so do it at your own risk

To update, you SHOULD be able to just go into the included recovery and wipe cache and dalvik and flash... You just want to make sure you dont do a factory reset in any ics recovery. OR if you wanted to be extra safe... you could get the rom on your phone... odin or mobile odin a gingerbread kernel with cwm 5.0.2.7 then wipe cache and dalvik and flash the update

Yep... just make sure you have to rom on your phone before you flash the el29 directboot kernel through mobile odin

thanks boss. I just went at it the safe way. I backed all my apps, sms, mms and call logs. then I had done a nandroid backup when I first rooted the phone (last week) so I went back to that and then I did mobile odin flashed the kernel and then did the above step by step.

just installed this using your clockwork mod video as well, didnt do what the guy recommended and everything came out fine so far. Im loving this rom. I just wish we could keep our dam voicemail apps. Like, its really annoying losing it.

Yes... but make sure when you go to restore that nandroid you flash the same kernel that you installed before flashing this rom and making that nandroid

LOL. . . glad you got it back. . Beta 3 is working WAAAAYYYY better than Beta 2. . . I could barely do anything on Beta 2.
