Indian Air Force & the Indian Army have successfully executed a "first of its kind" operation involving the precise para-drop of the Aarogya Maitri Health Cube at an altitude of approximately 15,000 feet, according to a statement released by the defence ministry.
The trauma care cubes have been developed indigenously under Project BHISHM, which stands for Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri, and are crucial for providing critical medical assistance in remote areas.
The operation was conducted in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of providing critical supplies to Humanitarian Aid & Disaster Relief (HADR) affected areas.
