Emily: We are supposed to be the good guys.
Sera: We are…We are.

Typically self fulfilling prophecy. They trying to stop a rebellion from happening by giving the demons every reason to start a rebellion

My thing is, Angel dust obviously showed he can be redeemed and has made progress in changing his behavior and checked off each list and that redemption is indeed possible. And yet they denied him? Adam WROTE that list on the spot and Angel still served. That is beyond unfair. Emily has every right to question Heaven when they can’t even hold their own word/Rules.

I think Adams whole love for killing Demons and especially his hatred from Charlie all stem from the fact that they are spawns of Lilith his original wife who abandoned him and refused to submit. Making the Extermination a far more personal revenge.

Its not about protecting a people for Sera. Its about protecting her sanctity. Because if she admitted she is wrong she has countless lifetimes worth of blood on her hand.

I just noticed the classic “fancy S” doodled on the page. I love how the show can throw in these silly Easter eggs or jokes in the background of very serious scenes without distracting or disrupting the mood. It’s just a little thing to amuse people watching the episodes over again.

Sera makes it sound so easy for Emily to be a Fallen Angel, but Adam and Lute can be as bloodthirsty as they can be with a Sailor Mouth, and There are just fine

I love the Detail with the many eyes open up when Emily or Sera are upset
Biblical acurate angels are dope

0:16 i just can't stop replaying this part. sera's eyes appearing, the sound effect that goes along with it, the animation, the voice of authority, oh my god this is just so well done. props to the animation team!!

Not Adam writing the Cool "S" 😭😭
Charlotteidkwhattoputherehehe
Sera is a hypocrite. She claims that the annual Extermination is necessary evil, but doesn't care enough to find another way of protecting Heaven.

IM SCREAMING-
SERA GIVING EMILY A KISS ON THE FOREHEAD LIKE A MOTHER 😭 ITS SO CUTE
QuazyonVR
The funny thing is, they were not uprising. Sera as powerful as she is and as high in position as she is, cannot possibly be that naïve…. Right?

Did anyone else see the “S”, damn even afterlife they still write the cool “S”

This quote can apply to this situation. The higher angels feared that hell would uprise, so they did an extermination every year now down to every 6 months. However the extermination only fuels the need for rebellion in hell. Especially with the circumstances of the overlords figuring out that they can kill angels.

0:12 I love how Emily says “Charlie, don’t give up on this”
YourAverageUraniumEater
I like how there’s no good or evil in this show between Angels and Demons.
Charlie wants to redeem human souls from hell so they can join Heaven and escape the wrath of the extermination. Although her intentions are pure, some demons are a lost cause and cannot be redeemed.
Emily wants to put an end to the extermination because demons are human souls just like the angels who made it into heaven but the reason for the extermination is just in case if Hell decides to rise up and take heaven by force which will lead to an all out war between Heaven and Hell. Between God and Satan (Not Lucifer)
Charlie and Emily understand there are demons who are more pure than others and just because they committed atrocious acts when they were alive doesn’t mean they stay that way after they die but the higher ups don’t care about any of that because most demons believe there is no redemption after death so they remain that way until they are one day terminated.
Darkpathofficialig
i think its weird that adam wants to kill the demons who are trying to be good and better first, instead of yk... the demons who killed the angel
sulferical
it seems like all human souls go to Hell after death by default, but someone who might be useful in Heaven is transfered there by cherubs and other angels and it's interesting how a person have to CONSENT to go to heaven. So it makes sense why Hell is overpopulated and Heaven is filtered
