I absolutely love telling people who have no idea about Nintendocore and Kawaii Metal although I find it baffling you didn't mention something like Trancecore or Pornogrind those also always get the weird looks from people.

Pornogrind should have got an honorable mention for the peculiar lyrics and aesthetics of wanting to hurt females. The genre maybe worth doing it’s own entire video over. However, you’d need A LOT of memes to balance out the schizophrenic incel theme associated with it.

You need to cover Harajunkacore. Hanabie is a fairly decent numetal band that combine Kawaii vocals with screaming vocals and performs while wearing a variety of costumes and fashions. They are very entertaining to watch live or on video and do not seem to take much of anything very seriously. Like most Japanese bands, the musicianship and composition are top notch.

Gotta be said, most of these aren't genres. Dressing up in a costume and singing exclusively about a specific theme does not create a new genre, especially if the musical content otherwise is, lets say, power or folk metal.

It's all gimmicks.

The guy in Deadlift Lolita is the same guy from Lady Baby. He goes by the name Lady Beard. He's an odd guy. Lady Baby has gained a few members and looks very different now from their hit video, Nippon Manju.

Babymetal has remained popular because they're actually good, or at least they released a couple of good albums. Take the gimmick away and they very much hold their own.
