In today's economy, it's hard for an average family to invest in something that depreciate it value. I would love to buy a motor home but it's not with our family budget. So we just pay for a cabin and support our local camp grounds. You both are doing great job keeping everyone informed.

The problem is that no smart man would pay what these companies are charging for brand new motorhomes. Plus a lot of people like me would rather buy a motorhome that’s a few years old which had most of its quirks worked out instead of it being in service for those first few years. Nobody wants to pay for something while it stays in a service bay for months at a time to fix things that should have been taken cared of at quality control. Lastly the interest rate the banks are asking on loans are ridiculous right now. I’ve heard from 9% up to 19.99% in interest. That’s nuts.

Most of these manufacturers will hear loud applause when they go belly up. We have the $$$ to buy a six figure RV, but theres no way we're spending big bucks for these rolling piles of garbage. We are doing our research, and the big 4 can go pound sand.

I work for a large parent company that owns SEVERAL marine product based companies-boat lifts, boat docks, accessories and so on...our sales are down big time.

Looks like Rev Group did surprisingly well from Wall Street's perspective. EPS was $0.39 and a beat by $.13. Revenue was $616.9M and a beat by $15.45M. But I wouldn't be surprised if they guided down prior to the earning's announcement and I'm sure they cleaned house to make their numbers.

As I stated before, the consumer is not longer ok with mediocre products and with inflated MSRP prices and high interest rates, let the bad companies go out of business. The better ones will survive this tough market because they make better products. Let the prices come down as well.

I have been hearing a lot of people complaining about there new RV's are poorly built and don't have the quality they have expected. Also, dealers not standing behind there products. Leaving the customer at a total loss at times.

We cancelled our new class A Jayco purchase because of the bad reviews and during pre purchase inspection it had too many problems.

My 1 year encounter with Jayco, my dealer - and Mercedes was terrible. My Jayco Terrain- a class B is gone now and I’m in no rush to try another.

This should not be a surprise to anyone that follows RVing closely. Most high end deals on coach’s will be, write a check and pay for it now. We have not seen the worst yet. The BIG 3 RV manufacturing companies have a plan and will make tough decisions over the next 18 months. Creative thinking in the RV SPACE will win out in the end right now also. Maybe a band-Aid on the elbow might help……lololo

I'm in South Florida considering a 2024 Tiffin Wayfarer that lists at about $209, 000 and is advertised at $154, 000 plus a $10, 000 rebate from Tiffin - I'm thinking I may be able to do better yet, especially as the 2025s will arrive shortly. I'm okay in my current paid for travel trailer and don't have to buy anything.

That means that more corners will be cut in building their RVs to reduce expenses. Stay away from them.

Why is this important? I purchased a new Open Road in 2005....within a few months had a small list of things to get repaired and to my surprise found out that Pilgrim (parent company) had declared bankruptcy and ended up liquidating soon after. There was even a recall on the tires, but the tire manufacturer wouldn't even honor the warranty. They said the tires had been sold to Pilgrim and that they had not paid for the tires which had voided the warranty. Even told me I would have to get an attorney and sue them. So...in short make sure your manufacture is strong financially or there may be no recourse to get recall/warranty items taken care of....//
