Today I'm making the headpiece to go with the 'Sunset in France' gown. I start with an idea for a design and let it evolve as I see where the materials I have work best as it comes together. Subscribe for couture sewing tutorials and inspiration.

Welcome! I am a fashion designer and an advocate for unique self-expression. In my videos I show you how I design and create the extravagant couture gowns and outfits that I've become known for, how I upcycle and style vintage and pre-loved clothes, and how I create accessories, hair, and make up to complete the looks. I also take you behind the scenes of my life and fashion business in my vlogs, and help you unleash your own creativity with my tutorial videos.

I forgot to say in the video that I ended up gluing the extra starts at the top on with the glue gun because I couldn't get them to hold with the E6000. You can see the glue gun glue from the back, but as this piece will only be used for photo shoots or catwalk shows, it doesn't matter too much. Show and shoot pieces don't have to be as 'finished' as work for clients, and often they end up being made in a rush!

I love your work. You are so creative and working so fast. What kind of feather are you using? Thanks in advance.

I LOVE this ! Stunning!! I did think at one point, before you put the stars on the curve, where they joined at the top, there was a little hook, you were going to put a moon dangling down ! lol I had an incident with a hot glue gun & small feathers a couple of years back, but in my defence i was trying to get them all to stick together, then stay & stick in one of those clear decoration balls, without the glue showing & sticking GGGRRR( I was putting a yellow silk rose in as well as larger white feathers, it was a memorial Christmas bauble for family as we'd lost my little brother a couple of years earlier), lets just say I was a bit of a mess by the end of making 10 of them!! haha BUT they came out good in the end! This really is fab!! is it heavy ? Much love & stay safe Jacq from the U.K
