Welcome to my walkthrough of the AQA A Level Mathematics Specimen Material Paper 1!

AQA A Level Maths Formulae Booklet and Statistical Tables:

This paper makes excellent revision forA Level Maths exams in 2019 and beyond, regardless of your exam board; AQA, Edexcel or OCR.

For this A Level Maths paper, I'm doing each question in its on video were doing QUESTION 4. Part a) asks us to use the Factor Theorem to prove X + 3 is a factor of the cubic polynomial p(X).

Part B) then wants is to simplify an algebraic fraction with the cubic polynomial on top, and a quadratic on the bottom.

I chose to use the Factor Theorem to find another factor of the cubic polynomial and then get the other by inspection. We could have used polynomial division or comparing coefficients to factorise the cubic. These techniques can be found in my polynomials playlist below,!
