This is why I like to compartmentalize different aspects of my life. If I am buying a car, I want a car. A mechanical transportation device. Not a multimedia entertainment system on wheels. Same thing with a fridge. I don't need a fridge that doubles as a tv/tablet. *Separation of concerns*. I don't need my car to not start or all of my food to go bad because someone decided to use software to solve problems that don't require software based solutions. If someone else doesn't feel comfortable driving without all sorts of electronic safety features and things, that is their prerogative. I find my life is complicated enough to not want to have to worry about whether or not my car is going to start or my food is going to go bad, because of a failed software update. When you try to shoehorn in all sorts of added responsibilities onto one Object, then you have created a single point of failure for multiple different processes.

What about colleagues that insists on „clean code“ with not needed abstractions, factories, generators, interfaces, annotations ? It’s „clean“ but in many cases unnecessary complex.

thats part of engineering principles. in engineering proper practices, it depends on the software engineer if what design pattern should use or programming principles need to use depends on the specific need requirements and solution. its not what the developer to decide.

And how exactly do you create a "simple" code? What is the difference between a "simple" code and a "complex" code? How do you know that your code is operating based on this KISS principle? You didn't answer ANY of that!
