I want to keep using the suggested contacts but for some reason the setting displays my ex as a contact despite my having thoroughly removed his contacts from like 5 different places. For some reason Samsung has it cached. Wish there was a way to delete the suggested contact cache.

Thank you so much. You helped me find the solution! In my order version of android it was actually under "show contacts when sharing content" so I tried turning that off to see if that could have the same effect as what you had in your video. And yes it helped. Thanks a lot, I subscribed!

That works for not showing any shares in the recommended box but what if you want certain contacts to show?

On the Note 20, the setting under Advanced Features is "Show contacts when sharing content".

Many thanks. The Direct Share feature is utter crap; clearly coded by imbeciles, as it would constantly show me deleted contacts I sent a single message to and rarely bother showing contacts I used all the time.
