Your 258Knot speed is shown in the FMC due to the aircraft attempting to climb in the most efficient way to meet altitude restrictions on this SID. These values can be adjusted on the VNAV1 page. Similar to the 240/10000 being hard programmed according to Boeing logic on the decent.

Hi Jonathan. Thank you for this video, found it helpful. Just want to point out something that was pointed out by a real 777 pilot. When putting in the POS, there is no need to go on the next page to pick up the position data. You can simply copy the datad on page 1 above the boxes (R4) and drop it on (R5) as this is identical information (GPS) to the data on the second page. Of course, it can be done either way. Also, you Do have to set the take-off trim manually.

Hi, I might be doing something wrong, but every time I try to direct to a waypoint, it puts me on a path direct from the departure point instead of my current position, and takes me way off course. It may be because I have the Captain Sim B777 and it’s not as good but it may just be me

I guess this is one of this planes that you are forzed to sit and program the flightplan manually? Not like some of the other that are made both for the people that like to sit for hours and study AND also for the people like me that love the game, but only want to spend the time flying. There should be two options, easy and sim. On EVERY plane. Now you need to buy it first and then after know if you can use it or not. Yes, many people will say "yes but it is a sim"...No its not. Even DCS World that is much more realistic is not a sim.
