Col. Richard Fitzwilliam is also my favourite secondary character. I was so pleased you gave him his own story.
Having to defend his lady from being accused as a spy was a brilliant story arc. And I love the ending with her declaring her love first. Very satisfying to have prospective grandchildren on the way as an ending to Darcy and Anne’s story too.

Have always liked the character of the Colonel and felt he wasn't utilized enough. So glad he had his own adventure and remained the strong moral fellow from the original storyline. I truly enjoyed this book of the Cousins. Any time Richard gets a happy ending of some sorts is good but this one seemed to truly fit & it was a great little mystery too. As always, Stevie's narration made it lively.

In this book, Mary was quite the character and your twists were entertaining as usual. I truly enjoy that the main female characters are all strong women who take on challenges and adversity especially in regency era. Refreshing read. Loved this story and I’m with you. My second favorite male character, after Darcy is Richard. To me he’s Richard as well. It just suits him. My only criticism is: not enough kissing! After all the struggles. I want more kissing and hugging 🤗 Stevie is a great narrator btw and your writing is brilliant.

I chuckled at the minor character that appeared in each of the cousins' stories, I believe: Lord Tufton. (Lord Tifton?) In Colonel Fitzwillliam's story as the entitled clumsy jerk who nearly tripped his way into Miss Mauvier's dress shop and shockingly put out his cigar on an upholstered arm of a chair while in there; in Anne's story as the fellow who stepped on her train and caused a rather long rip in it (and could be depended upon to do so, it seems, lol); in Darcy's Ultimatum as the guy galloping out of control on his horse in a crowded Hyde Park, putting people around him at risk of being hurt. He was a cad and a bit of a lout in all three stories and I laughed at him a little.
