My Late Father z Fav Drummer. He got to "Stit in " a few times for Mr Rich as he called him . Dad played with Artie Shaw. Duke Elginton, Glen Miller. and many other greats ! RIP TA!. Mom passed May 4th And i am at their house for the very last time today Sept 4th . house Sold in 1 day ! . 6/77 to 9/2018. Blasting Mr Rich One last time For Dad. .

This is definitely one of the best "modern era" big band classics and deserves its rightful place within the older top 10 hits from the 30's and 40's ! ! ! Just play it a few times to relish the subtle nuances. Just a great arrangement with great musicians. Enjoy and enjoy...

At 1:31 the bone soloist makes the coolest note choices and licks, love it. Maybe he's playing with a plunger near the bell? Gives unique sound.
