Wow, my teachers tried to teach me this for 3 years and I never understood simultaneous equations, now this Indian man taught me everything in only 1 minute. That’s why I love Indians.

This is a known method that I use from beginning

Use elemination method for it
Make the x or y equal on up and down multiply 6x with 4x and 4x with 6x the add both equations you will get the value for it and substitute into 1st or second equation

When the accent came, I clicked my fingers and knew this is what I should be watching. Thanks, now I’m sooo good at simultaneous equations

We can solve this using the method of substitution or elimination. Let's use elimination.

First, we can multiply the two equations by necessary multiples such that the coefficients of y's in both equations are the same:

1. Multiply the first equation by 3:
18x + 15y = 24

2. Multiply the second equation by 5:
20x - 15y = 90

Now, add both equations to eliminate the y variable:

(18x + 15y) + (20x - 15y) = 24 + 90
18x + 20x = 114
38x = 114

Now, divide by 38:
x = 114/38
x = 3

Now that we have the value of x, substitute it into one of the original equations to find the value of y. Let's use the first equation:

6x + 5y = 8
6(3) + 5y = 8
18 + 5y = 8

Subtract 18 from both sides:
5y = -10

Divide by 5:
y = -10/5
y = -2

So, the solution is x = 3 and y = -2.
