Indian Parliament has two main houses - Lok Sabha which is also known as Lower House and Rajya Sabha that is referred as Upper House. There a number of differences between the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha which everyone needs to know. Below are the five main points of differences of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
1. Lok Sabha is House of People whose representative are elected by people while Rajya Sabha is Council of States whose representatives are elected by members of State Assemblies.
2. Lok Sabha is Lower House having 532 members while Rajya is Upper House having 250 members.
3. Lok Sabha is Non-permanent body but Rajya Sabha is a permanent body.
4. Lok Sabha members should be at 25 years of age while for Rajya Sabha the minimum age limit is 30 years.
5. Lok Sabha can make/unmake govt. while Rajya Sabha cannot.
