Another impressive month of reading. I'll have to check out Chip Slaters' Storytime Theatre to see what it's all about. I loved Autumn Gothic as well, it was such a great read. Some of your books this month that have peaked my interest were The Dead Kids Club, Punk Ain't Undead, Dog Meat and The Trials of Ashmount. Thanks for continuing to bring great reading ideas our way. Happy reading.

I love how you talk about books. Love. Great video!! I've been hearing so much about The Trials of Ashmount. After hearing this, I've bought it. I hope you're having a fantastic November, Lezlie!

In October I finished:
ASOIAF 1: A Game of Thrones (re-read)
- I feel like a jackass for delaying this re-read for so long. Can't wait to re-read the rest.
LPQ 4: Price of Spring
- one of my favourite endings to a Fantasy series. Definitely in my Top 10 Fantasy series.

I also read:
*Classic*
Old Man at the Bridge - Ernest Hemingway

*Fantasy*
Discworld City Watch 1: Guards Guards
- The pick me up I needed.

*Historical-Fantasy*
Sarantine Mosaic 1: Sailing to Sarantium
- It's only the first half of the story but it's GGK, I trust him to deliver.

*Sci-Fi - Classic*
Counting Cats in Zanxibar - Gene Wolfe
The Hero - GRRM
The Runners - GRRM

*Steampunk Fantasy*
Books of Babel 1: Senlin Ascends
- I really liked this, it just clicked with me and I cannot wait to continue. As soon as I'm finished up my current reads, Books of Babel will get the priority.

I put down for now Shadows Linger, book two in Glen Cook's Black Company series. It just wasn't what I needed at the time.

Ordinarily I wouldn't like the idea of starting this many series so close together, but I don't care right now. That's future me's problem. Let him deal with it lol

AAAH yes I am so happy to hear that The Trials of Ashmount became your favourite book of the month, I adored it as well! It's better than Abercrombie... there, I said it!
Also, you have totally sold me on The Legacy of the Mercenary Kings, that's now top priority for me!
Great wrap-up, loved hearing your thoughts!! 🥰

I think it is more interesting to read an essay when you know about an author's background (re Joan Didion). Hell Sans is the coolest premise ever for a story! Autumn Gothic is my favorite Bowyer book! Hey, thank you for the shout-out for Dog Meat!
