Why does the "dorian minor" with the C# work better over this track than the natural minor? What is it about the chords that makes this better (and it definitely sounds better)? Newbie theory question Perhaps because the expected IV chord in the key of Em would be Am and here we are hearing the major A9 chord, thus a note needs to be pushed up?
