Fauna was looking at the comment section on a minecraft BGM video, hoping to find a kindred spirit that can make her feel nostalgic, but it turns out that she only found zoomers everywhere in the comment section.

Always nice to know I got fellow boomers like fauna, calli, gura to fall back on after watching girls like irys and bae. I don't feel old watching the latter 3 but my god do I feel the aging when dealing with how zoomer bae & irys are.

lmao. I'm 30. I remember in my junior year of highschool a guy I'd known since kindergarten was playing Minecraft on his laptop in class. Was it math? I don't know.

The fact this block game that came about in my youth still appeals to The Youth of today makes me feel pretty good. The music has something timeless to it.

Fauna came looking for validation but instead was left with pain. But we must look on the bright side. Those younger kids now are embracing minecraft OSTs just like we did when we were younger.

Honestly, Minecraft music always had this sombre tone. Something you could both escape to and remember with. The rough days, the good days... they are all recorded in the memories these songs are contained within. Not every memory they conjure is a good one, but every one shaped who you are today. It's truly a special thing.

Coincidentally I came to this video expecting boomer validation, only to find out we're discussing playing Minecraft in middle school.

I was in Uni when Minecraft came out. Hahaha... oh I'm actually turning to dust.

Is bae is the zoomer of the group, fauna is definitely the boomer of council

Well, I definitely remember my first time playing Minecraft. 2nd year of middle school, there was a kid who had like a cracked version of the game, and we'd play it in the library during lunch. Eventually got the game for myself later on.

Fauna is the perfect oshi to people in their 20s who feel like boomers but aren't, aka me

I remember playing Minecraft in middle school after 1 or 2 years after it came out, when it peaked in popularity. It is currently 12 yo so I was like 2nd year of middle school or so. Back in the day before Minecraft, Age of War and Stick Wars was the bomb among my class. I miss those days...

I'm nostalgic about the missing sound of zombies knocking on your doors and BOooooOOoing. Many years passed and still me and my friend copy this behaviour. Since few years ago he tries to convince his wife to join on the fun, still unsuccessfully. Oh well, at least she once meowed.

Back when the Minecraft world itself was empty and had that lonely, blank canvas vibe to it, the OST really reflected that. Now that it's a half baked wannabe RPG with tons of weird and superfluous stuff crammed inside of it (which could also be a good thing if it was done well), it really doesn't give that sentiment off anymore.

I remember the beta days, looking at these primitive textures and infinite square plains with that music playing, and back then with the knowledge of a 13 years old the only word that came to mind was "relaxing", but there was something a bit liminal about it, kinda hypnotic, like "This is nowhere. There's only you, and this nowhere. Let's see what's behind that hill."

C418 really went crazy with the Minecraft ost. I still regularly listen to both albums cuz even beyond nostalgia, they're just good fuckin music

The point is, many people like me played Minecraft from 10 years ago when it was still a Alpha Version and was a teenager, not knowing how to use a PC and getting parts for my old computer until i realize i couldn't upgrade it. After that, i didn't play the game as much as befor, was on jobs and could get afford more money and i had a unsure future. But know its settled in, i have a job that i like and i stay long, i have a nearly 5000$ PC Setup, have a lot of knowing the ground basics of PC parts and can build my own PC, and then after that i tried Minecraft again (also other games too) and i was baffled how much it chaged so much. Hearing C418 Sweden made it to, to remember those times back. It hits the nostalgia for me to and that the time was flying 2023 allready man.

Yeah, if she wanted that from me, she'd have to put "the Neopets soundtrack"

Ah yes, I too remember playing the Minecraft beta in college. Damn I'm getting old.

I get like that sometimes when working on assessment, with an extra twist: Post Concussion Syndrome. It translates stress into intense pain!

It is a minor miracle that I didn't drop out of school. It's also exactly what I should have done, school environments only make concussions worse and is probably the reason it went chronic.

It suck to be so old that the only minecraft you played as a kid was mining and crafting.

Ah, study-crying... haven't had to do that in years. I don't miss it, but it was nowhere near as bad as walking back home from work, getting into your room, and then the tears just flowing as soon as you turn on the lights.
