Came to comment how much I appreciate this speech and was sad to see so many hateful people in the comments below. We still have a long way to go to bring equality to the United States, especially for our black transwomen and girls - and we can't afford to falter. I don't watch television or cable, so I did not know who you are. It's great that you are speaking so positively to LGBTQA and non-LGBTQA audience to encourage those who are LGBTQA and to represent the community in an intelligent thought-provoking light. Some day there will be a future where no one is judged by their gender, age, religion, weight, country of origin, or color. It should be that way now. By raising awareness as you are doing, maybe more people will face their own prejudices and change their thoughts and behaviors for the better.
