Auld Lang Syne by Robert Burns. A traditional song that we sing at midnight on New Year's Eve, and yet many of us don't know the lyrics. Let's learn the lyrics together and bring in 2018 with a tuneful welcome. Let me know in the comments section if you knew any of these lyrics before today and where you will be to bring in 2018? I will be at home singing my little heart out. :)

We managed to complete it but the lyrics my husband found were not the same. I think they were modernised. I think I prefer the older song lyrics better after trying both. Again total hero

I am so glad you have posted this. I am recording this in the studio tomorrow for release on NY eve and I have been so stuck on pronunciation. My New Zealand accent really has not helped me either. Fingers crossed I do a good job but for now you are literally my

Beautiful voice, Anna. I had never heard about this song until I had to teach a lesson about New Year's traditions around the world. 😁

Waught=wahft, like draught. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you too! (And thanks for publishing the lyrics—a lot of people have no clue what they are and are funny to watch as they muddle thru the song on NYE.)

Happy New year!

Good try at pronunciation. The most important one is It’s syne (a bit like sign) not zyne, lots of Scottish people pronounce it incorrectly too. Also tak (a bit like tack) not take.

I have very vibrating tone and when I sing in low notes it just sounds horrible. Please ma'am give me an idea about what should I do and what not..
