The tension in that room must have been crazy. I would be terrified.

Saddams list of crimes is long. He was the Hajjaj of his time. But unfortunately people idolise rulers and forget the history.

He was behaving like a ruthless dictator then but when the Americans came he was hiding in a hole like a mouse.

He betrayed Muslims in Kuwait, his history is full of shame، He destroyed his country with his own hand

It's chilling to think about how Saddam Hussein’s rise to power was marked by such calculated cruelty. That scene of betrayal and fear—the tension in the room as people realized they were trapped—feels more like something out of a psychological thriller than real-life politics. His manipulation of loyalty and fear solidified not just his rule, but a brutal, terror-filled culture that thrived under him. It's interesting how power so often corrupts, and how leaders like Saddam can go from being a useful ally to a tyrant. The question is: were we ever really surprised? Or just complicit?

This is the best video i have watched ever. These recent video formats you do are engaging and intense. Like a documentary but shorter.

7:36 is terrifying. The nervous way those men look around the room while rising to their feet is almost cartoonish; like a scene straight out of a movie just to show the audience how evil the bad guy is supposed to be.

*_But this really happened in real life._*

This is the first time I saw one of your documentaries, and I really liked it. I just subscribed.
By the way I was perplexed when I heard that that "guy" was on our side. That was the biggest surprise in my life. Thank you.

Kindest regards,

If you’re calling him a monster, then what do you call Israel.

As early as 1959, Saddam was part of a CIA-supported operation to assassinate then-Iraqi Prime Minister Abdul Karim Qasim. The attempt failed, and Saddam fled to Cairo where he received protection, most likely with U.S. knowledge. The CIA's involvement with the Iraqi Ba'ath Party grew in the early 1960s, which culminated in the 1963 coup that removed Qasim from power. U.S. intelligence provided the Ba'athists with lists of suspected communists and political opponents, which were used for mass purges following the coup... Saddam was a plant, with blud* on his hands from the very beginning, he was unfortunately always a monster.
